Last night I had a informal get-together with a few girlfriends to celebrate the holidays. This was the first in what I hope will become a tradition of year-end “best of” parties, for which we each brought our favorite CD, DVD or book from 2007 to swap. It was a neat way (I thought so anyway) to get turned on to some really good music (I say music because that’s what each of us ended up bringing… my contribution was the “Once” soundtrack, because it was not only one of my favorite CDs of the year, but also my favorite movie, AND its stars were responsible for my favorite show of the year as well). As it turned out, it also was yet another excuse for Churchill to be a complete ham and get lots of attention, as you can see from the pictures.
Anyway, when I got home from work yesterday, I walked into the kitchen and saw that M had prepared a batch of cupcakes for us. They were delicious, and reminded me how thoughtful and sweet he is, and just how lucky I am (I know, gag. But it’s true!). Thanks, baby.
